What’s on?

Sunday 12th February, 11am: Valentines Jazz Breakfast with Chris Hutchinson and Yvonne Lloyd. Tickets £8 (Friends £7) from our cafe, includes coffee and pastry.

Wednesday 14^th March, 7.30 for 8pm: The Acoustic Gathering in another Brandywine production. Ray Jackson, founder member of Lindisfarne, Jerry Donahue, the “guitarist’s guitarist” and Doug Morter, long-time member of the Albion Band and Magna Carta. Tickets £12 from www.brandywinemusic.co.uk.

Saturday 17^th March, 7.30pm: Spring Concert by the Hastings Philharmonic Choir, conductor Hilary Davan  Wetton, with young professional soloists and orchestra. Mozart’s “Coronation” Mass and “Linz” Symphony, with Haydn’s Te Deum. Tickets £15/ £10, concessions £2 off, under-16s £3.  Friday 23^rd March, 7.30pm: Hastings Area Youth Symphony Orchestra, with players from the Orchestra of the Age of Englishtenment. The programme includes Mendelssohn’s  Overture Ruy Blas; Max Bruch’s Romanze for viola and orchestra; and Dvorak’s Symphony No 8. Tickets £6 (concessions £4) from the Information Centre, 01424-451111.

Saturday 7^th April, 7.30pm: Egyptian Nights III, local bellydancers from Zaphira UK with national stars. Tickets £10 (under-12s free) on the door.

Sunday 15^th April, 11am:  Jazz Breakfast with Magdalena Reising, a wonderful singer and harpist, and Blue Café Jazz. Blending Scottish and Polish melodies with her own compositions, this is something completely different for a Spring breakfast. Tickets £8 (Friends £7) from our café or the Information Centre (tel 01424-451111), includes coffee and pastry.

Saturday 3rd June, 7.30pm: Diamond Jubilee Extravaganza. The Friends of St Mary in the Castle offer musical celebrations for everybody. Full details to be confirmed. 

Our café is open Thursday – Saturday 11 – 3, Sunday 12 – 3, and for all our events.

 Tickets for events are on sale at the till.
